For Kevin has nature, our planet and especially wild animals always been his biggest passion. Already aged 7, Kevin spent his spare time either outdoors looking for wildlife and animal tracks or indoors watching nature documentaries and reading wildlife books. Being outdoors hiking and travelling  to breathtaking places has always played a big part in Kevin's life as well. Outdoor sports such as cykling and slalom has also been important hobbies for him.

When he got a bit older. Aged 11, Kevin got his first camera and ever since that moment has he spent most of his spare time in nature capturing wildlife and landscapes.
 
" In the beginning I went just to the forest and captured everything interesting I saw with  my camera. For the past few years have I focused more on specific projects, such as photographing and filming wild brown bears, fox cubs and badgers. I mostly photograph during golden hour and blue hour since these kind of images match the best with my style and during summer the animals are also the most active during this time. Sometimes I even spend the whole night in the forest if the subject I try to document is owls or predators "

Already at age 19, has Kevin Kåla achieved a lot. He has succeeded with many projects documenting wild bears, several fox families, badger, kingfishers, different owl species and the extremely rare and critically endangered saimaa-ringed seal. He has travelled to many breathtaking locations including Lapland and the wilderness of Wales. His work has also been awarded in photography competitions such as Suomen Luonto - Kuvakilpailu and Kuusamo Nature Photo Contest. Besides photography and filmmaking, Kevin is a student in Helsinki.

Kevin's biggest dream is to travel around the world to explore it's breathtaking places as well as seeing it's natural wonders and especially to see the wild animals of it and continue his mission so in other words document everything to inspire people and raise awards to protect our nature and wildlife. Dream locations for Kevin to explore are the Great bear rainforest, the Arctic, the Himalayas, Serengeti and the Amazon jungle and his dream wildlife to document are especially big cats ad bears. Kevin's biggest goal in life is to be one of the persons behind BBC's and Nat Geos most fascinating documentaries such as the Planet Earth and be remembered as a great filmmaker.
